Welcome To My Blog!
Welcome to my blog, my name’s Andrea! I try to post very frequently, at least 3 or 4 times a week, and I post a variety of different things, all related to books though, of course! 🙂
I hope you enjoy my blog and decide to stick around!
As I said before, my name is Andrea. I live in Canada and I’m going into my first year of high school this fall, through online schooling.
While reading is my favorite thing to do, I do also enjoy doing some other things!
I absolutely love to write. I am currently planning to write a historical fiction novel that features an LGBT+ romance in the much earlier part of the 20th century! While I haven’t gotten very far into the planning of it, I’m very excited to start writing it and hope that once winter rolls around I’ll be able to get working on it more!!
I also really love music! Some of my favorite artists are Troye Sivan, Ariana Grande, Panic! At The Disco and Zara Larsson. I’m a huge fan of classical music, as well!
I also watch a few tv shows. The shows that I watch are The 100 (all-time favorite show), Shameless, Riverdale, Queer Eye, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Shadowhunters, How I Met Your Mother, Thirteen Reasons Why and Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger. I’m only caught up on like 4 of those though haha!
I am a huge Disney aficionado!! My favorite Disney movies are Mulan (also my all-time favorite movie) and Frozen. My favorite non-animated Disney movie is Pirates of The Carribean! While we’re talking about Disney, I am also a fan of Marvel movies! Even though I am relatively new to the Marvel fandom, Captain America, and Spiderman are my favorite heroes from the MCU. Outside of Disney and Marvel, I’m not quite sure that I have a favorite movie.
Okay now to what you all are really here for, a list of some of my favorite books!
Anything by Marie Lu, she is my all-time favorite author and I adore every single one of her books! My favorite series by her is The Young Elites.
More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera
The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee
The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
What’s Eating Gilbert Grape by Peter Hedges
Finally, I’m going to add my rating scale so that you have an idea of how I rate my books!
5 Stars: I found this book absolutely amazing, and I loved it a lot. It was everything I could have hoped for in a book, and it has probably become one of my favorite books. If not, I still completely adored it 🙂
4 Stars: Overall this was a really good book and I really liked it. There was just something missing that didn’t make it a five star read, but it was still a really great read.
3 Stars: I like this book, but there’s nothing amazing about it. It was likable for the most part, but there was just something that wasn’t there, and that stopped me from fully enjoying it.
2 Stars: This book was just meh. It didn’t really catch my interest, and I wasn’t really invested in it. I probably struggled to finish it.
1 Star: This book really was not made for me. I most likely DNF’d it, but if I did finish it I struggled a great amount to do so. (I rarely rate books this low).
I hope that if you made it all the way to the end of this post that means you plan on sticking around! If that is the case, I hope you enjoy what you see! ❤
